NORTH TONAWANDA, NY (January 24, 2008) - Jack and Sonny Grainy from North Tonawanda, a suburb of Buffalo, New York, are soon to take delivery of their new 2008 G-Force Race Cars Inc. built 1967 Camaro Pro Modified.
The Brothers, who have traded in their 15-year old Chevy Beretta, are very excited about the completion of their new Cynergy Composites bodied car.
Crew Chief Sonny Grainy exclaims, “This is a once in a life-time opportunity that Jim Salemi from G-Force has given us. We will have the best chassis out there. We have a couple more weeks to get odds and ends tied up and then we will be at the powder coaters and start assembling. Jack and I are like two old kids in the candy store.”
Power for the Grainy Brothers Pro Modified will come from an Olds Big Chief-headed KB block from Stawicki Racing Engines.
Driver Jack Grainy states, “Mike and Ted have really stepped the engine program to a new level for us. They are older parts but it’s made very respectable power on the dyno. We have also updated our blower with Darren Mayer at DMPE Inc. We hope for the best this year in PMRA Competition. It’s been a long time since we had a good year at the track.”
Teams like the Grainy Brothers help keep the spirit of independent drag racing alive.
Sonny and Jack are true racers that do whatever it takes to be at the track. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing teams like them succeed.
The Grainy Brothers racing team thanks the following companies and people that make their racing a reality: G-Force Race Cars inc., Stawicki Racing Engines, Scott Jahren Custom Paint, Niagara Auto, Grainy’s Automotive, Ted Arts, and Dave Smith.
